Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Community Members:
As we returned from our holiday break, we cautiously observed a two week fully remote schedule due to the COVID rates in the Bristol County region. Being remote does not indicate a loss in education, as you can see below that our staff continues to go above and beyond to provide our students with the best possible education.

Attention Students Grade 9-11: STUDENT SCHEDULING
Like last year, we are utilizing the online scheduler through PowerSchool tools that we will use to develop student schedules. The first step is for students and parents to discuss the Course Selection (see grade specific course selection below). If a student is requesting a level change, then a student will be required to meet with their guidance counselor.
Then the student will meet with their academic teacher (see timeline below) to discuss their request and the teacher recommendation. If there is a conflict, the student will schedule an appointment with their guidance counselor. Please click the following links below to help you select your course next year. Stay tuned for more information and a Virtual Town Hall to help explain in more detail.
Student Scheduling Time Frame:
Step 1: January 8-January 29: Student receives course selection form and discusses class options with parent/guardian.
Step 2: Feb 1-12: Teachers will input recommendations into PowerSchool. If the teacher is recommending the student for a level change, the student does not need to meet with a counselor.
If a student is selecting a level change and the teacher did not recommend a level change, then the student must complete the Course Selection form and meet with their counselor
Step 3: Feb 22-26: If there are no conflicts with student requests and teacher recommendations, then the students will log into PowerSchool and “Accept” their recommendations from their teachers. If there is a conflict, students will schedule a time to meet with their guidance counselor.
Step 4: March 1-June 1: Once all requests and recommendations have been submitted and accepted, we will begin to build the schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. Students will have tentative schedules prior to leaving this school year.
CURRENT GRADE 12 COURSE SELECTION
Next Phase for Seniors: We are proud to share with you our senior’s plans for their next step in their college and career exploration. Based on the knowledge and skills learned during their 4 years at BA, we are excited to publish acceptances into colleges, universities, military plans, and any career pathways each week. Please let Ms. Dias or Ms. Hamel know in Student Services, so we can update our list weekly. Thank you for your dedication to excellence and drive to maintain Bristol Aggie Excellence. Those schools that are bolded and have an asterisk following them have been confirmed as schools that our seniors will be enrolling in Fall 2021.

Flu Vaccination Deadline Extended:
The state Department of Public Health has extended the deadline for students to receive an influenza vaccine to Sunday, February 28. An updated FAQ is available for download and will soon be available in additional languages. An updated list of immunizations required for school entry is available for download. Updated information call also be found here: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/school-immunizations.
You can also find it on our digital library website: Bristol Aggie Library/Media & Technology Resources for Students
In the Classroom:
In Ms. Gagne’s senior Stable Management class students were given an opportunity to create a Stable Design Project. Students could work alone or collaboratively to design and create a horse stable. Some of the key features the students were graded on were:
Efficiency of layout, choice of materials for buildings (fences, etc)
Safety features for both horses and humans;
Bedding type and storage and manure management.
Students had the choice of constructing a physical model, a sketch/diagram, or using computer software, including gaming software systems. Three students chose to do their project using Minecraft. Nice work!
Small Animal Science:
Agricultural Mechanics Update: The MSBA project impacted Agricultural Mechanics during last year’s school year, and therefore, they are the first program to be completed. Take a look at some of the new spaces in Ag Mechanics. Looking forward to having our students in person to experience their new space.
MSBA Project Update: On Friday we walked with the moving company in anticipation of our scheduled move starting next Friday. Looking forward to this new chapter. #BAPride #BAFuture #PatiencePlease
