A Snowdrop in the Hand...

So, has this weekend been cold. Sheesh yes, my three days off have been a chiller.

But still, life proceeds outside, and on Monday the sun did appear and even though it was still cold, it was glorious.

I decided to occupy myself by inspecting snowdrops, looking into their flower heads, opening them up like gentle triffids. Judging by the different patterns, we have two main species, with different sub-groups within them.

Slightly fairy tale photos, sugary sweet, but hey it is Valentines Day I suppose. Luckily I did ride past a recently burnt out car on my way home, so not all is nausea inducing.
